Good to know – home insurance

On this page, you will find information about all things related to home insurance.
It also contains various guidelines on how to act and who to contact in the case of various events.

  • What to do when selling your home?

When selling your home, make sure to inform the insurer before the sales transaction. Overpaid insurance premiums will be refunded in full.

  • Changes in contact details

If your phone number, address or email address has changed, you can change it easily in our self-service.

  • How do I report a loss event?

In the case of an insured event, fill in the form here.

  • What should I do when I’ve found damage?

Make every effort to ensure that the damage incurred does not increase.

      • The first thing is to always ensure the safety of people. If someone was injured in the course of the incident, notify the Rescue Board about this immediately and act according to their instructions.
      • If a window has broken, cover it with plastic film.
      • In the case of water damage/fire, dry the wet surfaces as soon as possible. Water doesn’t often cause any damage if it’s dried quickly.
      • Emergency work is permitted to reduce potential damage, e.g. repairing a broken pipe, fixing a roof in the case of storm damage, using temporary covers on openings, etc. If possible, take photos of the damage before doing the work.
      • For example, if the water pipeline is broken or leaking, turn off the water supply and/or contact a specialist who will stop the leak.
      • Don’t throw damaged objects away before the insurance company has examined them and given its permission.
      • In the case of theft, vandalism or robbery, please notify the police first of all and follow their instructions.
      • Try to remember or write down as many circumstances of the accident as possible.

  • How quickly do I have to submit the loss notice?

      • You must report a loss event as soon as possible and the easiest way is to report it here.

  • Who else do I have to notify about the loss event?
