Accessibility

What is Accessibility?

The website has been designed and built to comply with the WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility guidelines. This means that specific technical tools and content creation principles have been implemented to make the content accessible to individuals with disabilities.

Additionally, accessibility can be further improved by configuring your computer at the browser or operating system level. Below is an overview of the main assistive tools.

Keyboard Navigation

You can navigate this website entirely using the keyboard. Navigation is performed using the Tab key. Each press moves the focus to the next element. The currently active element is marked by a color change and a box around it. To activate a focused link, press the Enter key on your keyboard.

Content Magnification

There are three main ways to enlarge the content on a website: using built-in browser functionality, operating system tools, or specific plugins installed in your browser.

The easiest option is to use the browser’s built-in zoom functionality. In most popular browsers, you can enlarge or reduce the page by holding the CTRL key (CMD key on macOS) and pressing the + or – keys. Another convenient option is to use a mouse: hold down the CTRL key and move the scroll wheel on your mouse.

Using a Screen Reader

A screen reader is a program that interprets what is displayed on the computer screen and convey it in other formats – such as sounds or audio commentary. It is primarily an assistive tool for individuals with visual impairments.

The content on this website has been created in accordance with screen reader-friendly standards, ensuring that all types of visual content can be presented in alternative formats. For example:

Images include textual descriptions.

Videos are accompanied by descriptions of what is happening in the video.

The placement and order of structural elements are designed to follow a logical sequence for screen reader navigation.

Popular Screen Readers:

JAWS (Windows)

VoiceOver (macOS, free, built-in)

NVDA (Windows, free)

Narrator (Windows, built-in)
