  • Direct handling

If your car is involved in an accident, you want it to be fixed as soon as possible. Direct handling is a process that helps reduce the time taken to deal with claims by up to 10 days.

      How does direct handling work?

Direct handling is similar to the way glass damage is handled – you can contact PZU’s partner who will carry out the repairs and communicate directly with the insurance company.

This saves valuable time spent reviewing your application, confirming the repair quotation and issuing the letter of guarantee. The repair shop can immediately order the spare parts required and start the repairs as soon as possible.

      The process is simple:

      • Contact our direct handling partner.
      • The repair shop will ensure that the criteria have been fulfilled.
      • Agree the time for repairs.
      • No further action is needed from you – the repair shop will communicate with PZU directly.

75% of casco insurance cases are eligible

According to PZU statistics, most cases qualify for direct handling, however, the following conditions must be met:

      • You must have a valid casco insurance at the time of the accident (either Casco or Casco Plus package).
      • The sum of the damage (repair quotation) must be under 2000 euro (with deductibles and VAT).
      • The declared driver must have had a valid driver’s license at the time of the accident.

The list of partners is growing

Currently, we only offer direct handling with selected partners.
